twas good... the scene with yoda is really funny. Acting is a lot better than episode 1. overall a lot better than episode 1. really cool graphics: they have this scene with thousands of clone troopers and the legs and arms move indivudually so it looks real. SEE IT, i say.

I will not see it any time soon. I do not want to contribute to any opening records that would go to Lucass already swelled head. He owes me big time for that drivvle he turn out called Episode one. He had the nerve to talk about how great he is and how JarJar was the first "real" animated character (yes the JarJar who didnt have to obey the same rules of physics that the other characters did) Not to mention the incrediblely poor casting of that darn kid, some amazingly poor dialogue for some top rate actors, poor story telling (this big myth of who/what the Mauls, how they only come around once in forever and then he has one line and dies: not to mention other issues) and dont even get me started on the stupid robots : what happened to function over form !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...........but in the end Mr Lucas already has my money ... the bastard. FORM: the essential nature of a thing

Hey, count me in on that IP
cduhn@mac.com I can burn you my LOTR screenie, but you prolly already have that. There is NO WAY I will not see Ep2 on a big screen though. I'd be interested in a screener copy for later viewings, mainly. |

Bah @#%$ the IP. It'll be out in 2-3 days so go see it then.
I have to say I was dissapointed about the movie like 3 of my friends. I mean, the romantic story is a bit too much. The end will be so good on big screen thought! Except for Yoda... we all agreed here that it was comic, not good. We were all laughing... The story around Ugah Fett (whatever his name is spelled) and Boba Fett is good tough... Liked the first one more. ![]() |

Saw it today. Easily the best of the 5 star wars films. So much is happening and being explained and laying the groundwork for the later movies.
Lucas definately kicked it into high gear this film. Amidala and Anakin's romance was very interesting from the exploring the spiritual and philosophical makeup of being a Jedi. In VALENs Name I Frag Thee

Personally, I thought seeing Yoda go off was just so sweet. You always knew he had it in him. I wanted to stand up and shout "KICK HIS BUTT YODA! YOU THE LITTLE GREEN THING!!!"
Was perhaps my favorite part of the movie. It made me think of Street Fighter and how the smaller characters are always so dang quick. hehe I'd put it at #1 for effects but #4 overall. I really don't think Lucas can direct. Great vision but the actors he has are so much better than they're coming across. I also think there was just SO much stuff being jammed into this film that the stuff that makes films "great" just got squeezed out (deep character development, subtlety, etc). But I still really enjoyed it, and the effects were just astonishing. I had the pleasure if seeing it in a digital theater.

Yes!!! I saw this with my son and loved it. This will be the movie incentive that helps to sell DVD players. I can't wait to see the DVD version of this when it comes out. It will be fun to watch, advancing it a frame at a time. :-)
The 3-D was great. Lukas said in an interview that he used to be very restricted about what sort of effect gets put into the movie, but now, with the 3-D, he can literally create and show anything that he wants on the screen. No restrictions at all. Rudge |

We felt it was very slooooow to start, too much insight into the 'fantasy' environment and not enough action. But, when the action started, wow, it kicked ass
It made me understand why they started with episodes 4 to 6, far more interesting in terms of gung-ho action. Imagine if they started back in '77 with episode 1. God, without the technology they have today it would have been terrible Episode 2 left me with lots of thoughts tho, which is a good thing. Working out what pans out in the future, who the bad guys are, who the good guys are. I think thats a good sign of a movie, leaving the audience with an active imagination for the plot. 6/10 from me.
